Many of you are gearing up for  MIPCOM. For those of you with ideas under your belt that seem fit for the Canadian market as a destination for production and a test-bed before further international distribution – do get in touch with EMC advisory board member Julie Bristow who has recently launched her already very successful production company Bristow Global Media.

Below is a note from Julie – and looking forward to seeing you in Cannes!

EMC Alumni,

My name is Julie Bristow, President and CEO of Bristow Global Media. I’m an advisory board member of the EMC and have supported the growth of the EMC and it’s alumni from it’s start in 2008.  Last year, I started a content company after being on the broadcast side of the business for many years. I’ve positioned Bristow Global Media (BGM) to take advantage of producing original formats in Canada as an English speaking territory conducive to high quality television production.

Toronto is the third largest production center in North America, after LA and New York. The predictability and stability of our production tax incentives make Toronto a great place to create and produce original formats.

I’m interested in creative partnerships around great ideas. My goal is to get the best ideas made in Canada as a first step to the rest of the world.  I’m reaching out to the EMC alumni because I want to hear your great ideas and see if we can find a way to make them happen.

More about BGM:

I will be at the German EMC cocktail at MIPCOM and look forward to connecting  -  and re-connecting for some of us – with you there!

Julie Bristow
President & CEO
