 | Format Academy
The ENTERTAINMENT MASTER CLASS is the executive education programme for the entertainment television - created by the industry for the industry.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn from industry leaders, seek advice and guidance, share ideas, and build rewarding networks and professional alliances in this vibrant community.
Over the course of a one-year programme, a select group of talented professionals from across the industry and around the world will learn from industry leaders and distinguished experts about the art and business of entertainment television. Renowned creators, producers, managers, distributors and lawyers offer lectures, presentations, workshops and coaching sessions that give invaluable insights into all areas of the format business, directing the participants from idea to screen and beyond. The programme is designed to inspire creative and strategic thinking. Topics include: the creative process, format development, production management, programme scheduling, talent representation, brand marketing, format distribution, financing strategies, rights management and format protection. Entertainment television is at the heart of the programme; however, our curriculum expands to explore the emerging opportunities of new media in rapidly changing business environments.
The academy will furthermore host a wide range of events, including showcase screenings, pitching competitions, awards and conferences to coincide with major television festivals and markets.
The ENTERTAINMENT MASTER CLASS gGmbH has been founded by the Erich Pommer Institut as a non-profit making company.
