After having studied history and having acquired a postgraduate in journalism, Anke Mouton took her first steps in the media at Radio One. There she cooperated on several radio documentaries, all on historical subjects. The experience of research during her studies helped her a lot during her first job for television, as a researcher on the Flemish version of “Who wants to be a millionaire?”
After a short detour at a weekly, she returned to VRT and television. First she worked as a researcher on the detection program “Eyewitness”, after which she found her way to entertainment programs. As a researcher on a couple of series of the scientific show “How? That’s how!” and the historical counterpart, she also got involved with the productional aspect of the job. But after four seasons it was time to broaden her horizon, and she transferred to fiction, as a researcher to a popular daily soap opera. After a few years she became producer on the same show.
Having acquired the necessary skills, she returned to her first love, entertainment and factual entertainment. Since then she has been working as a producer on a cooking show “Famous Food” for Canvas, the second television channel of VRT, as well as having made live shows as “Soap star, Superstar”, the Belgian Music Industry Awards and currently a new friday evening program “Good Friday”.
