Charles Thompson has been one of the UK’s most successful television producers for many years, with a reputation for making popular peak-time factual hits across a variety of genres. His programmes have won a number of awards as well as attracted huge audiences.
In the UK he created the hit Ob Doc series Traffic Cops for BBC One, which has been running in primetime for more than a decade and in ther USA, he was an Executive Producer on the hit Fox reality show Paradise Hotel, which ran for 31 hours. He also EP’d the long running action series Salvage Code Red for National Geographic Channels and Discovery Canada. Recently, he Executive Produced The Children of 9/11 Revealed for Channel Five and the scripted hit factual-based drama, Shirley, for BBC Two.
Charles has been the CEO of Steadfast Television, the founder of Folio Productions and, for three years, ran the UK super indie, Mentorn, as Managing Director. He is currently the Chief Creative Officer of TVT Productions.
