Solangelee began her media carrier in 1996 in Puerto Rico and later joined the Univision family in South Florida in 2001.  She was just named by People Magazine one of the most powerful Latin women in entertainment.  In her current role she oversees the content of daily live shows, in-house productions, and the network’s special projects. In her role she supervises a team of 80 journalists, anchors and producers, camera and editing professionals and technical crews.

She oversees the creation of original content and restructuring of pre-existing content. Prior to this position, Solangelee was Director of Special Projects for the network’s coverage of events such as the elections in Latin America, 2010 FIFA World Cup, and other history marking stories.  Solangelee was Senior Executive Producer of one of the leading news shows Primer Impacto for over eight years.  Her diverse production roles throughout the years have exposed her to the various components of television production, for the delivery of both news and entertainment content.

As a bilingual media professional, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and journalism from the University of Sacred Heart, San Juan, Puerto Rico.  Solangelee currently resides in Miami, Florida with her husband.
