Making proper television has been the goal of company President, Guy O’Sullivan since opening the Toronto based indie in 2004. Originally from the UK, Guy brings years of experience directing and producing for the BBC (Top Gear) and Mentorn where he had a hand in creating internationally successful formats like Britain’s Worst Driver (Five) and Take My Mother In Law (ITV).
When Guy eventually moved to Canada he had developed a keen eye for great formats and a desire to raise the bar for factual television production in Canada. Since opening Proper Television, Guy has grown the company to the point where it will produce 100 hours of television this year. With a full slate of domestic and international productions it seems that viewers and broadcasters have acquired a real taste for proper television.
