Jonathan Coad heads the litigation department at Swan Turton. He specialises in intellectual property, defamation and privacy. In 2005 he and a German colleague formed the International Format Lawyers Association which is based at the offices of Swan Turton. Jonathan acts for a wide range of broadcasters, production companies and media corporations as well as high profile personalities and organisations in the public eye. He regularly delivers seminars on the protection of format rights and on media management in the UK and abroad. He is also the author of numerous media law articles and is a regular commentator on media law issues. Jonathan graduated from Cambridge, and after a period as a professional musician, completed his legal training at a London city law firm. He joined Schillings where he became Partner, then become a Partner at the Simkins Partnership. Jonathan was a founding Partner of Swan Turton in 2005.
