Julie Hall worked as an actress, broadcaster and advertising copywriter before moving into TV scriptwriting in the late nineties, spending five years on the scriptwriting team of the multi-cultural daily drama Generations. In 2005 she was invited to train with the Sediba Script Training and Development Program and now works with Sediba as a Script Consultant/Story Editor and as a Mentor on the NFVF Sediba-Spark Screenwriters Course. Further professional development includes Robert McKee’s Story Seminar and Genre Days, the NFVF Sediba Emerging Producers Course and the Entertainment Master Class Comedy Module. Julie guest lectures for various training institutions and was headwriter and trainer for APTI. She is currently one of two headwriters on the Bubblegum Factory project overseeing the development of one-hour made-for-television bubblegum films for M-Net’s Mzansi Magic Channel. As a feature film writer she has completed My Zulu Wedding, The Dam, and Magic & Mining.
