Margarete Moser studied philosophy, dramatics and art history at the University of Vienna, Austria, and at the Freie Universität Berlin, Germany and obtained her Ph.D. with a master thesis on Austrian Summer-Festivals at the Institute for Theatre, Film and Media Sciences. From 1982 until 1991, she worked as a commissioning editor for the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation, ORF. As a freelance journalist she worked for print media, radio stations and television broadcasters. From 1991 onwards she worked on film productions as production manager for different renowned film production companies. Margarete Moser was appointed to manage the FERNSEHFONDS AUSTRIA, which was established in 2004. Her main concern is the support of Austrian film productions; to allocate the resources needed by Austrian filmmakers. Her focus is film and television financing and production controlling.
