Class 2012

Mariana was born in Sofia to a Serbian mother and a Bulgarian father.  Her professional history started in a multinational environment through marketing and sales positions in a variety of industries from a diplomatic mission to auditing and consultancy to chemicals. Her TV experience started in 2006 when she joined the programming team at Fox International Channels (FIC) Bulgaria.  As Head of Programming of FIC couple of years later she was responsible for acquisitions and scheduling for FIC Balkans’  portfolio of channels: Fox Life, Fox Crime, Fox Movies, National Geographic channel; operating in nine Balkan countries.  Executive producer of more than 100 hours of lifestyle programs for Utilissima and 24Kitchen. Still based in Sofia, in 2011 Mariana joined the Global Acquisitions at FIC, a team in London that has centralized functions in content acquisitions for Fox channels around the world, through multi-territory deals, pre-buys and original development.

In January 2013 Mariana left FIC to pursue her passion in TV and film production, through subsequently joining ALVAL Entertainment, a Bulgarian boutique production house whose credits include National Geographic Channels among others.
