Olufemi (Femi) Ayeni is a media entrepreneur and has been a leader in Nigeria’s television industry since the mid-1980s, when the company he co-founded, Ultima Limited, began manufacturing large C-band satellite dishes in Nigeria for consumer and business use. As a pioneer company in a pioneer industry, Ultima was actively involved in entrenching and popularizing the satellite television service nationwide. Femi’s most recent entrepreneurial ventures are the acquisition and production of the general knowledge television quiz programme – Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? (WWTBAM) for the Nigerian television market. The Nigerian version, which was launched in 2004, has become the second most popular programme on Nigerian television. Femi is the Executive Producer of WWTBAM in Nigeria.
Femi Ayeni is a 1985 MBA graduate of The Wharton Business School of University of Pennsylvania and a 1980 BSc. graduate of the University of Lagos. Prior to founding Ultima, he worked as a banker in Nigeria and in the United States.
