Rob looks after a portfolio of UK based Commercial Clients in the Film and TV sector leading a team of four managers. The team provides a full suite of banking services including management of deposits, lending and money transmission services in the UK and internationally. They have developed significant specialist expertise and a substantial contact network. This places them in a unique position to assist and support the market in which they specialise. Rob joined Coutts & Co in 2000 from Barclays where he worked for 9 years. He was active in the TV sector but on joining Coutts he managed a portfolio of UK independent music sector clients. Rob became expert and widely networked in the music field assisting labels, publishers and other related businesses which included finance secured on intellectual property rights. He has returned in recent years to his sector of choice which today is dominated by the TV industry. He has been involved in the financing of numerous UK and international TV programmes and looks after a number of TV production companies, TV commercials companies, advertising agencies and talent agencies.

Rob has learned that an understanding of the industry, its financing and structural requirements, the value of IPR, strength and skillset of the management and creative teams are the key to success. He has developed a wide ranging knowledge base and skillset that has enabled him to guide and advise his Clients on their future plans and aspirations and where appropriate provide banking facilities to assist their progress. He is widely recognised and acknowledged in the independent UK TV sector by clients, professionals and other industry participants for his area of expertise. Rob is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB) and has a BA Hons Degree in Economics completed at Newcastle upon Tyne University. He was born in the UK in 1970 and interests include of course TV, Film and Music in addition to his family and the demands of his two young children.
